Before the
downturn in the economy, many individuals, insurance companies,
and governments struggled in obtaining funds to help families
with special needs children. Since the downturn, families have
suffered the unforgiving reality that money has run out to help
their children. Even with working parents - treatments, medication,
equipment, therapy and special schools are very expensive beyond
basic daily needs. For parents with lost or reduced income the
hardship is magnified. That's where MCCD
comes in.
Through your generous donations and our fund
raising efforts we are able to help some of the families with
many of the special needs that these children so desperately need.
We provide funds beyond insurance coverage, and/or public funding
by helping with therapies, medications, treatments, Dr. visits,
specialty equipment and schooling. We have many more families
that need help than we have the funds to provide. That’s
